MATERNAL MENTAL HEALTH
I work with women who are experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety during their pregnancy, around the time of birth, and through their child's first year. Providing emotional support, I help my clients manage their symptoms while creating a healthy attachment with their baby. Working individually or doing dyadic therapy with your infant, I provide psychotherapeutic interventions that are centered on improving maternal competence and the quality of bonding between the mother and the baby.
Below is a list of some of mental health disorders and concerns that I treat:
• Postpartum Depression
• Postpartum Anxiety
• Trauma related to birth experience
• Hopelessness and overwhelming fatigue
• Feelings of shame, guilt, or inadequacy
• Difficulty bonding with your baby
• Withdrawal from family or friends
• Intense irritability or anger
